Track Dog Racing x AWR Product Motor Mounts 1990-2005 Miata |
AWR Miata mounts are a must have for every enthusiast. There is no substitute for the quality, design, and benefits these mounts transfer to your vehicle.

When to Replace the Motor Mounts?
|
We've learned from experience that the factory motor mounts are a weak link in the drivetrain. The photo to the right shows what happens to factory motor mounts when they get worn out. The first example shows a factory motor mount with approximately 48,000 miles of normal use and then an additional 6,000 miles with a MP62 Stage 2 supercharger installed, running at 9 psi of boost. Notice how the rubber is separating from the metal which has also been drastically bent. |
 |
The second example shows how the mount has completely seperated in two. This mount was off a car with 120,000 miles on it, with 60,000 miles running a JRSC at 6 psi of boost. |
This engine mount kit is a direct replacement for your Miata chassis with 1.8L motor. AWR's engine mount kit is a direct bolt on replacement for your Miata chassis with a 1.8L motor. Fabricated steel replacement motor mounts provided with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings that mount in the factory location giving more secure engine support. These mounts improve shifting and completely change the feel of the car keeping power sent to the wheels as it should be. Want less engine movement, cleaner shifts, as well as many more benefits? Look no further - AWR Racing has you covered! AWR offers the best valued mounts that suit driver needs. We have durometer options for daily, aggressive, and track driven builds. Street and track proven since 1995.

|
What durometer is best for you?
At AWR Racing, we have been making high performance Miata mounts since 1995. We have updated our Miata motor mounts to a larger bushing size which helps reduce NVH, specifically reduce cabin vibration. Alongside a bigger bushing design, we have launched our tested and proven 62 durometer Energy Suspension polyurethane option which is perfect for daily and street use. Are you looking for stability without much NVH transferred to your vehicle? 62 durometer is the perfect solution for you.
62 - 70 durometer is recommended for daily driving with little to no mods. 70 - 88 durometer is recommended for lightly to intermediate modification levels. 88 - 95 durometer is recommended for highly modified street and track builds. You can always opt for a different durometer if your first choice doesn't suit you needs, all of our bushings can be swapped out or replaced!
Initial NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) will start to settle after about 500 miles driven.

The AWR lowered motor mounts set the motor approximately .300 lower into the chassis reducing center of gravity height. AWR's engine mount kit is a direct bolt on replacement for your Miata chassis with a 1.6L or 1.8L motor. Please note t

You could order these mounts elsewhere but why would you when TDR will send em in this wicked yellow.
I am using the 70soft mounts and you’ll have a lil more vibration than stock but for my supercharged set up it’s a must as my old stock mounts were worn out. These will definitely keep everything nice and tight for some banging through gears but be soft enough to be livable.
