The flywheel itself is made from 6061 T6 billet aluminum. It is CNC machined at a constant surface speed for durability and finish. The friction surface is made from high carbon alloy steel.

NOTE TO MAZDASPEED MIATA OWNERS:

If you are purchasing a lightened aluminum flywheel and clutch, you can install the standard 1.8 clutch and flywheel. These items are much less expensive than the MAZDASPEED ones. If you are not replacing the OEM flywheel, you will need to purchase the MAZDASPEED specific clutch and vise versa.
