Money very well spent

I purchased this splitter with the intended purpose of building a street car that can also hit the occasional HPDE event, particularly with SCCA SOLO and Hill Climbs. I absolutely love the appearance of it as well as the added front stability that it really provided for the car. As an NB1 owner, I was one of the many who did not have the OEM lip spoiler from the factory and, much thanks to it being listed as “No Longer Avaialble” by Mazda, I was having trouble sourcing one for any type of reasonable price or shipping methods. I was able to source one of the OE replica lips on eBay and it actually works with this Radical splitter – just required using some flex in the polyurethane to make sure everything lined up properly. So far it’s holding up well! Also, for anyone curious, for a CSP setup car in autocross (or any other cross where the “Street Prepared” class is recognized) the splitter pretty much stays below the forward most edge of the front bumper all the way around to the wheel arches minus a few mm of the two points that stick out of the front edge. Likely that this would not be called out, but if it would you may have to trim the forward most leading edge by a few mm to be perfectly in rule compliance. – at least as of 2016’s rules. Build quality definitely leaves nothing on the table to be desired. It’s simple, straightforward, and the use of the binder clips was probably one of the most infuriatingly simple things I never would have thought of previously to line something like this up onto the car.
