If you are getting a rattling noise from the transmission when the clutch is disengauged and the rattle goes away when you press the clutch pedal, it's likely a failing throw-out bearing.  It is also called a clutch release bearing or thrust bearing.  This part, like all clutch parts is hard to access.  It requires transmission removal.  If you are replacing your clutch, replace the throw-out bearing at the same time.  We include a throw-out bearing in all our clutch kits.
